The Captains Flat Telegraph is a free, not for profit newspaper for the people of Captains Flat and surrounding area. It is produced by a retired pensioner as a free service to the community utilizing her knowledge and experience. The printing, collating and folding is undertaken by volunteers. The production of the two hundred plus (200+) copies of the fortnightly paper over the last six years is only possible by those who support the paper. The following organizations provide on rotational basis the funding of the cartridge required by the Sharp AR-M160 photocopier, Country Energy, Captains Flat Community Association, Telstra Country Wide, Local RSL & Bowling Club, Palerang Council. Paper is provided by those with small advertisements. The website is hosted and sponsored by Westnet.com.au.
